PS-835 Overview
The L-3 Avionics PS-835 is a fully enclosed emergency power supply that provides continuous standby power for multiple emergency systems. Depending on aircraft configuration, it supports systems such as self-contained gyro horizons, essential flight instruments, and other critical components.
The PS-835 is designed as a 24 VDC nominal emergency power source to help extend operation of a connected standby attitude indicator if the aircraft’s main power bus becomes de-energized. It is also designed to fit into the existing avionics shelf for straightforward installation.
Inspection and Overhaul Interval
PS-835 units should be inspected every 12 months and typically require annual battery replacement and overhaul.
